I have an unused, government surplus, American Optical, folding, light weight, field microscope. The documentation reference is: NSN 6545-00-926-8961 and is dated 1-July-1979. The scope came with an American Optical 10x wide field eyepiece # 176. I purchased the scope without objectives and I am trying to source either the original American Optical ones or, preferably, locate other good brands that are compatible. A parfocal set of 3 plan lenses would be ideal. The AO parts list gives the following numbers for the objectives: 1019 10x 1116 45x 1027 100x (oil) Thanks, Roy. |

Roy - did you find help for your microscope yet? I would check ebay. Also, check imillermicroscopes dot com. Harvey Miller is an expert on the ao microscopes. Can you tell me where you got government surplus microscopes? Charlie |

Hi Charlie, Sorry for the late reply - just got back from holiday. I've actually just collected the last eyepiece - from eBay. I got the scope from: http://www.torontosurplus.com/ It's a real gem - unused US$75.00. Regards, Roy. |
