Question ID: 494688
I have an unused, government surplus, American Optical, folding, light
weight, field microscope. The documentation reference is: NSN
6545-00-926-8961 and is dated 1-July-1979.

The scope came with an American Optical 10x wide field eyepiece # 176.

I purchased the scope without objectives and I am trying to source
either the original American Optical ones or, preferably, locate other
good brands that are compatible. A parfocal set of 3 plan lenses would
be ideal.

The AO parts list gives the following numbers for the objectives:

1019	10x
1116	45x
1027	100x (oil)

Thanks,

Roy.

Roy - did you find help for your microscope yet? I would check ebay.
Also, check imillermicroscopes dot com. Harvey Miller is an expert
on the ao microscopes. Can you tell me where you got government
surplus microscopes? Charlie

Hi Charlie,

Sorry for the late reply - just got back from holiday.

I've actually just collected the last eyepiece - from eBay.

I got the scope from: http://www.torontosurplus.com/

It's a real gem - unused US$75.00.

Regards,

Roy.
