Question ID: 494773
Could anybody give me the U. S. mail addresses of ebay and PayPal and
a government agency to whom less than ethical behavior can be
complained to.
I am highly disgusted with the way disputes are handled by them , and
I spent already at least 20 hours navigating their impossible to
handle internet sites. It is high time to quit and write off the $
30.- or so gipped, rather than to throw more good time after bad.

There is no answer at this time.

about that.

To vaac-ga:
Regarding the way ebay handles dispytes is a disgrace. I have just
finished going through a settlement for payment with them, when in all
actuality the payment should have been 0$. When I listed my items,
nothing worked properly, slide show did not work at all, same photo
was in the upper corner for every item and the larger photo at the
bottom (except for 2 items) were all the same. I emailed them 5 times
for help, the first they answered and what they told me to do did not
work, the rest of my emails were ignored. I wne t to the chat rooms
for help, but for some reason nothing I did changed the errors. During
this period of time, to make matters worse, the live help was down. I
received several complaints via email, people were confused. So it
ended up I sold nothing and had a $75! I had been a mem. since 1998
and had a 100% A rating, and this was not the first time I sold there.
After I received the first bill, I emailed them explaing what had
happened, the response was I should have contacted them! Too
bad-that's what you owe. I again emailed and explained how many times
I cointacted them and no one had the decency to respond and that I was
not going to pay that amount. I never received a reply even tho I
emailed them again several times. Finally I received a letter from a
collection agency, I was told to make a settlement offer, I said $25,
since as I stated nothing worked, so that was fair, NO- they would not
settle for less than $45, which I ended up paying just so it wouldn't
go on my credit report, but told them I should be the one bringing
charges against them. Yes, you try and win a fight with a multio
billion company! So I have started an ebay bouycot, emailing all my
friends not to use them and I will never use them again. So good luck
to you, you need it! Beadbender

I comiserate with you, beadbender-ga. I finally wised up and let any
paiyment unfairly extorted from me get lost. After all are $30 or so
worth 20-30 hours on the phone and internet, not to count the
aggrevation??!!!! You have to learn when a loss is not worth fighting
for! I only regret learning this lesson too late to salvage the many
hours gone to drain.
