How can I configure a mobile external hard disk drive as removable
storage device on Win XP ?

The mobile hard disk has already been installed, but Win XP recognizes
it as a FIXED HD only, and I wish to configure it as a removable
storage device

Just buy a hard mobile drive box with USB 2.0 support. Take the hard
disk into the box and plug from the box into the USB input of your
computer. Of course, your motherboard must support USB 2.0, otherwise
you could buy a hard drive box with USB 1.1 support only.
When you plug it, the driver would be installed automatically.
