Hi GA Community...

As I read over all the old questions, I'm noticing that a lot of the
Researchers that used to answer and comment on questions, are no
longer here.

Do you, as Researchers, know who is still active here or are you as in
the dark as me?

The same goes for commenters. Some of the active ones of yesteryear
are no longer to be seen.

Does anyone else play the "who is present here" game?

I miss some of my absent colleagues very much. Quite a few GARs who
used to be quite active have fallen silent in recent times. As far as
I know, no one is ever terminated for inactivity, so there's still a
chance that some of the missing may resurface. That happened recently
with the return of one of GA's very finest Researchers,
websearcher-ga, after a long hiatus.

Why, thank you Pink! I'm blushing. :-)

It's true, Steph53, GA certianly doesn't terminate for inactivity (or
I would have been axed a year ago).

Having been "back" only a couple of weeks I don't have a good idea of
who is here and who is not, but my general impression is that there
are fewer around than there were 18 months ago.

One easy way to find out.  Let's have a roll call. =)  Count up the

In answer ( unpaid of course;) to your question, I've been on this GA
site since June 2002. Its amazing what I've learned from the questions
here. Besides commenting, I've also asked a few questions myelf.

The other reason I love this site is that quite a few researchers, as
well as commenters, kind of form a total offshoot to a question. Most
of us know what area of the world we are from as well as other things.
Its kind of like belonging to a "clique" of amazingly intelligent and
wonderful people.

I hope that answers your question.
