I am a subcontractor to the DOD. My company keeps asking me to "estimate" the last day's worth of time and file my timesheet early. I am sure this is against the rules of contracting to the US gov't. I can't find a "list of rule" or regulations about these timesheets. Can you help me find it? | |

For referrence, the government also asks for timesheets early... often well in advance of the end of the pay period. I find it a very silly practice to turn in a time sheet 3 days early (they are due by me on Tuesday when the pay period ends Friday), but that's beaurocracy for you. I'd be willing to bet they spend alot more time (money) on correcting time sheets due to this than they save from getting them early to process them. |
