Question ID: 495613
Do the hospitals in South America purchase medical devices from their
importers (local distributors) or purchase directly from foreign
manufactures (such as China)? I think they purchase from the
distributors but not sure, please help. The countries I need are:
Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico.
p.s. I'll post another question with a much higher price & tip for the
distributors' information, if any. Maybe Bobbie-7 can help me better:)
Thanks.

Hello ningeve,

I am in Brazil and speak Portuguese, so I could probably handle Brazil
for you, but I think a Spanish speaker would probably be best for the
other countries (I'm afraid I don't speak Spanish)

I also know that in the vast majority of cases hospitals here in
Brazil buy from local distributors, although I do know of one case
where they bought directly from a manufacturer in Italy.

Very best regards

Hello again ningeve,

It's probably best if you post the Brazilian part as another question,
leaving this part open for anyone else who might be able to answer it.

Very best regards

Hello Ningeve,

Here are a number of medical equipment directories for Mexico,
Argentina and Colombia.

Is this the kind of information that you require?

Thanks,

Thank you bobbie-7.
I just took a quick look on the links you provided. I don't think they
are what I'm looking for. The medical distributors are more likely
people in trading firms (import & export trade). They buy medical
devices (what I want are the firms trade disposable devices such as
syringes, gloves, dressing...) from foreign countries and then sell
the products to hospitals. The links you gave seem to be they are
local manufactures.
Thank you bobbie-7 and thx1138 for help so far. I'll appreciate If
both of you can help me further. I'm going to re-submit with 2
questions with higher prices. Thanks.
