How are you defining 'artists'? The term, loosely applied, could refer
to actors, dancers, singers, painters, writers, etc.

Hi onzilla,

After several hours of research, I was only able to locate one
Shakespeare character who was a painter:

Character name: Painter

The Tragedy of Timon of Athens

Lines for Painter
http://www.opensourceshakespeare.org/views/plays/characters/charlines.php?CharID=Painter&WorkID=timonathens

Source: Opensource Shakespeare

Please let me know if this suffices as an answer to your question.

Best regards,
Rainbow
