I'd just like to confirm one thing. Since the link I gave was about
bottled water, does it mean you are looking for information on only
bottled or purified drinking water rather than tap water?

That's right :) I'm interested in the purification guidelines for
bottled water or purified drinking water (not tap). Thanks!

Genabean,
These are links to pages showing bottled/drinking water regulations
from many areas. I hope they give you what you need.

Conquest Commercial Bottled Water Plants
http://www.conquestinc.com/bottleplant.htm
- I got this web page which gives general information on bottled water
processing plants, in case you might be

intertested in this.

UK:
The Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2000:
http://www.legislation.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20003184.htm
- Here is a set of rules to UK's purified water.

Italy and maybe rest of EU:
New Community Directives for mineral water in tight containers
http://www.ozonio.com.br/CE-USA.htm
- Here's something that describes rules about Italy, but it does
mentions some thing about EU as well.

EU:
EU drinking water disinfection regulation:
http://www.lenntech.com/water-disinfection/eu-water-disinfection-regulation.htm
- For certain, this is a page about water regulations for the whole
EU. I hope this will do for France as well since I haven't found
anything on just France's regulations only.

Australia:
Drinking water: Environmental Health - Victorian Government Health
Information, Australia
http://www.health.vic.gov.au/environment/water/drinking.htm#unit
- This is one page on Australian rules, only in Victoria, though I
believe others areas of Australia will have similar rules.

Drinking water FAQ: Environmental Health - Victorian Government Health
Information, Australia:
http://www.health.vic.gov.au/environment/water/d-faq.htm
- This is the page that led me to the above:

Price and Quality Regulation in the Water Industry The Need for ...
htp://www.tu-dresden.de/vfs2004/Papers/Schwalbe.pdf
- A little paper I added about drinking water standards issues.

WHO:
EEC Drinking Water Regulations
http://www.lenntech.com/fran%C3%A7ais/EECdirectory.htm
- This probably goes for the whole world.

Googles Search terms used
international water purification regulations
uk drinking water regulations
french/france drinking water regulations
australia purified water regulations
italy purified water regulations
france/french purified water regulations

I hope this has been a helpful answer. If you need something
clarified, or have a problem with the answer, do please post a Request
for Clarification before rating and I'll come back to you as soon as I
can. Thank you.

Yup ;) That's what I was looking for & wow what a ton of info in that link!

It is only US stuff though - if you want to find any international or
world regulations, or maybe just the regulations of Austrailia, The
UK, France & Italy, then you can call it an answer & we'll close out
the question :)

Thanks!
