I want information on foreign language editions of the book Raiders of
the Lost Ark, date of publication, country of publication - please.

Hello Lisa,

I took a look at the WorldCat database -- a catalog of library
holdings around the world, which is available at many libraries -- to
identify versions of Raiders published around the world.


The search turned up several Spanish versions, two Russian versions as
well as publications in China and Japan:

I am interested in the Russian edition which lists 2 authors of the
book...Black wrote Raiders of the Lost Ark
Rob McGregor presumably wrote two others in the series.
Is there any indication that this three titles is one volume?
Also, I understood there to be a German version, and a French one, of
Raiders of the Lost Ark. How do you find those editions that might
have gone out of print?

In general, you can search foreign language book sale sites, like
Amazon, for the author's name, and have pretty good success in
identifying versions of Raiders in other languages.

I am glad you turned up the French edition.
It was published in 1981. 
I am trying to build up as many foreign language editions as I
can, so any more you pick up on will be welcomed and duly appreciated.
The problem is we are looking for a book more than 20 years old
and Out of Print almost everywhere.

I didn't see any other versions of the book, but I did find one site
offering the German version for sale:

The contact/ordering instructions are near the top of the page, while
the book itself is in the "Harrison Ford" section about 2/3 down the
page.

The site hasn't been updated in a while, so I don't know if the book
is still available, but it's worth an email to find out.
