I would like to know more about the roles of Otavio and Ernesto Bavastro in the Cuban independence movement in the 1880s. I know they were friends of Antonio Maceo and were living in Jamaica in the 1870s and '80s, but I cannot find any further information on them on the web. |

According to Oscar Ruiz Miyares, CRONOLOGÍA DE SANTIAGO DE CUBA: http://xoomer.virgilio.it/mpcaracola/Espa/eBooksPage.htm Ernesto Bavastro y Casard was born in 1837 and died in 1887: http://xoomer.virgilio.it/giasone4/e-book/CronologiaSantiagoCU100403.pdf (page 24 of 129). |
