I recently reorganized the digital images on my computer using Explore. I renamed folders to be more specific then either copied or moved the images from their original folders. I then deleted the copied images to 'Trash'. Neither Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10 or Kodak Imaging software can now 'find' the images. I would like you to tell me how to 're link' my images so that they can be accessed by the above software. |

Ok i am not quite sure i understand what you are saying. So you moved your photos and then deleted them? Well if you deleted the pictures they are gone. If you copied them then they are still on your computer. If you moved them and your software is no longer picking them up then you just need to reopen all of the pictures in your software. I have easyshare and if i move pictures they still show in easy share but when i try to pull up the image it says image not found. So then i have to reopen them in easyshare from there new location. |

My Documents is generally the default folder for your images. Perhaps you moved them into folders UNDER your My Documents folder, such as: My Documents --Animals --Relatives --Friends or in a folder elsewhere on your hard drive? When you hit File-Open, it's going to a default folder, probably (again) My Documents. Hit the dropdown at the top and choose C:\ (or the letter that designated your hard drive) and start looking through folders. |

Go to the folder you have moved your files to. Highlight an image you want to edit Hold the shift key down and then right click on the icon (SHIFT + Right Mouse Key) Select 'Open With' give it about a couple of mins to list all applicable softwares, and the it should pop-up a small window Select the program you want to use. You should be good. OR Click File Click Open Click 'My Computer' Click on the disk volume you saved your files in. Select the folder where you saved your files |

I think what you are actually looking to do is have the program automatically locate these pictures once you load it. The easiest way to do this is go ahead and start Digital Image Pro(DIP) up and run it in "windowed mode" (so you can see the desktop on the sides of it. Once DIP has finished loading, click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop, and browse to the folder containing the pictures you renamed. Once you locate that folder "right-click" and fold the mouse button (so the folder remains highlighed and you can drag it around) and drag the folder into the DIP screen. DIP should allow you to just drop that folder into the actually program as it runs and it will automatically import the content of the folder to your Digital Library. An alternateive method is to browse to the appropriate directory using the appropriate OPEN command from the FILE menu within DIP but unfortunately I don't have a copy of it so I cannot give explicit instructions. Please let me know if you need any further clarification. Mark |
