Thank you fo your interest in helping me!

I am looking for the history of the Lakh/Lac jewelry in India, this
jewelry is produced in the state of Rajasthan (east India), and I have
found only one place with information about the process of making this
beautiful jewelry, a seller on E-bay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11313&item=4975901410&rd=1

I would like to find out some more about this art, When was it first
made?, who made it? is it a family craft passed from family member to
family member? or a business craft where anyone can join a shop and
learn to make it? How are the designs stamped on Lakh created? Are
they copied from a book, or do they draw them and then create a stamp
for them?

How have the styles changed over the years? Who first made this type
of jewelry? Was the idea imported from another culture

As I mentioned before I know what is on the seller's page, but I would
like to have much much more, and I would like to have pictures if
possible of the process of creating the Lakh jewelry.

Who mainly uses this jewelry in India? How did the lakh get included in the design?

Any other information regarding Lakh and this jewelry would be much apreciated!
