I am looking for a service to get a toll free number (accessible from
the US, at least Michigan) that has at least 10 extensions with voice
mailboxes on each.  I have no preference for 800,888,877,866 . . . but
would prefer an option to choose my number (vanity number).  It is for
business, but all calls will come into one phone (my cell phone).  I
would like to pay under $30 per month and I do not want to enter into
a long contract (month to month is ok).  I have done some searching on
Google, but maybe some other input would help me to find something I
haven't yet.

However; I suspect you meant the $30 was to be the limit for the basic

I use Telcans, a Canadian Company, and am in southern Calif. I have
used them for a year and its simple and cheap. I have my choice of
forwarding my 800#s to any phone instantly. Google them.
