I would like to e-mail someone who is involved in the making of a
movie based on the book FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS. My husband may well be
the LAST survivor of both flag raisings on Mt. Suribachi, Iwo Jima,
Japan. He was misidentified in the "Gung Ho" photo printed in the
book. Since then he has been positively identified as the corpsman in
the shadow of the group picture taken by Joe Rosenthal. Random House
has agreed not to identify any other than the six men who were also in
the candid photo of the second flag raising. We have proof including
a citation signed by Holland Smith. Some people who would be
interested in this information may include Clint Eastwood and Richard
Dreyfus. How can I get this information to them?
There is no answer at this time.

Clint Eastwood's production company is called Malpaso Productions. As
of 2002 the address and phone was :

4000 Warner Boulevard
Burbank,CA 91522

His agent's name is Leonard Hirshan at William Morris agency, the
agent or manager is typically the way a celebrity is contacted.

One William Morris Place
Beverly Hills, California 90212
Phone: (310) 859-4000
Fax: (310) 859-4462

Richard Dreyfus's agency is ICM :

ICM Beverly Hills
8942 Wilshire Boulevard
Beverly Hills, CA 90211-1934
Tel: 310-550-4000

This should give you a good start, there will be several "layers" to
go through, but I think if they are interested you will be contacted.

Hope this helps, until a researcher answers.

If your husband thinks there ia a book in him, a story to tell,
contacting literary agents who represent non-fiction history writers
is the way to go. There may be someone out there who is interested in
writing your husband's story.

Buy the writer's market guide to agents and pick 15 or 20 who
represent authors of books of this type. Some talented writer is
surely looking for his next project and contacting his agent may be a
good way to find him. Send short query letters to the most promising
