Hi oceansea:
Thanks for the great question!
so far, I've been able to find 5 such titles and cities. I'm passing
them along to you now, because you wanted them a.s.a.p.
Frank Capra:
"It's a wonderful Life" - Bedford Falls
"Mr. Smith goes to Washington" - Sweetwater (not 100% sure on this)
"Mr. Deeds goes to Town" - Mandrake Falls, Vermont
Preston Sturges:
"The Miracle of Morgan's Creek" - Morgan's Creek
"Hail the Conquering Hero" - Oakridge
Let me know if you want me to keep looking or not.
Search Strategy (on Google):
* "frank capra" filmography
* "frank capra" "town of"
* "preston sturges" filmography
* "preston sturges" "town of"
* "[movie name]" "town of"

Hi oceansea:
OK. Before I look some more, I need some further information...
* Are you interested strictly in movies *directed* by Capra and
Sturges? There are other movies that they produced or did other
things as well.
* Should the "small town" play a pivotal part in the movie (as the
setting, for example)? do you want towns simply mentioned in passing?
Thanks.

* Are you interested strictly in movies *directed* by Capra and
Sturges? JUST MOVIES THEY DIRECTED.
* Should the "small town" play a pivotal part in the movie (as the
setting, for example)? do you want towns simply mentioned in passing?
TOWNS USED AS A SETTING AND JUST IN PASSING ARE FINE
THANKS WEBSEARCHER!

Hi oceansea:
Well, I've done an exhaustive search of *all* movies directed by Capra
and Sturges, and I've only been able to find one more example of a
small town that is used in these movies:
"The Beautiful Blonde from Bashful Bend", town = Bashful Bend,
director = Preston Sturges
Short of actually watching each film, I'm not sure there's much more
your going to find on this topic. :-)
Hope this helps.
