Question ID: 496908
I currently have a Denon DCD 460 CD player which I bought about 10 years ago.

The good news: it produces rich sound, which I greatly appreciate.
The bad news: it has no anti-skipping feature, which drives me nuts.

So, I need a new CD player that does two things:
(1) Produces rich sound,
(2) Has anti-skipping.

Just yesterday, I returned a Bose TriPort portable CD player because
the sound that it produces is not as good as my old Denon CD player.
(It has a great anti-skipping feature, though.)

A price of $300 is ok, although I'd go up to $500 for a CD player that
produces amazingly rich sound. Anti-skipping is very important.

Thanks to david1977-ga for providing the above link.

It lists 177 different CD players, BUT it rates only 3 of them. Of
those, only ONE has a "very good" rating. Unfortunately, it's a
portable.

I'm getting nowhere fast. Doesn't anyone have a home CD player that
they really love?

I did not realize that today's DVD players can play CDs. Maybe that
explains why there are so few reviews of CD players on the internet [I
had been puzzled why Consumer Reports has almost nothing on CD
players].

In any case, I bought a DVD player (Marantz DV4400), and now I can
thoroughly enjoy my favorite CDs again.

My thanks to david1977. (You were the ONLY person who tried to help
me, and I appreciate that very much.)
