Question ID: 496978
Are there any sites or tools available to strip all the images and as
much else as possible from websites so that they appear just as text?
The reason I am looking for this is to view a page on my mobile phone.
The capacity of mobile phones is seriously limited and so to read a
whole article, the pictures and formating should not be there. When I
say tools, I mean that if there was some tool written in say
JavaScript or whatever else, then I could make a website with that
code which would allow me to go to the website I have made and "drop
in" another url and see that url without any images.
Answer
There is no answer at this time.

There are cgi proxys that display only text(saves bandwidth). Try john marshall's.

the answer is obviously YES for IE browsers, that's why there is an
ACCESSIBLILTY WIZARD in modern Windows environments, but I have no
idea for YOUR cell phone, which one do you have?

It depends on your browser. Uncheck the options/show pictures.

Hi, I was trying to do this for my mobile phone because it has such
limited capacity. I don't think there is any way to adjust the browser
on the mobile phone itself.
Thanks.
