I'm looking for a really sturdy highchair to give as a baby shower
gift. Most of what I've found so far are just metal and plastic. I
saw a really great one at a Cracker Barrel Restaurant last week but
they don't sell them to the public. Your help would be appreciated.

The third item in your very nice list (http://myspecialbaby.com) looks
like the high chairs I've seen at Cracker Barrel. Do you know if it
is the same?

Hi Smitty51,

I'm not completely sure, but according to this site, it is exactly
the chair from Cracker Barell! It IS odd that Cracker Barrel doesn't
sell the chair themselves! (Scroll down the page)

Thank you for the 5 stars!

If you would like, you can also check out
http://www.claybornesamishfurniture.com/html/high_chair.html They have
several high chairs made by the Amish out of solid oak, and they also
have a cool one that is a high chair, rocking horse, and a study desk
all in one. This will give you another couple of styles to look at.

I looked at the cracker barrel one... very nice.. though the buckle
strap might be hard in the long run. When I set my wiggly 13 month
old in... he is usually leaning foorward, trying to reach the table.
We have a buckle, and I think that is easiest.. just to squeeze the
edges to open it and slide it in and it automatically clasps. Once
you get the sizing set you don't have to mess with the strap length
for awhile.
Something to think about.
