I'm looking for a poem that I think is shel silverstein.
It is a children's poem or similar vein that talks about-- how your
brain becomes full or only has so much capactiy (and you can't put
more in it until you take some out of it or you don't want to fill it
with facts that are not useful)
thanks

Is it this one, from "Where the Sidewalk Ends"?

  I opened my eyes
And looked up at the rain,
And it dripped in my head
  And flowed into my brain,

And that I hear as I lie in my bed
Is the slishity-slosh of the rain in my head.

  I sleep very softly,
  I walk very slow,
  I can?t do a handstand,
  I might overflow,

So pardon the wild crazy thing I just said?
I?m just not the same since there?s rain in my head.

It's not exactly like the one you described, but among the Shel
Silverstein poems I looked through, it seems closest.

Good luck!
Mike
