I have an old PC running Windows ME and all of a sudden it will start to load
the desktop and but then fails and goes to blue screen saying Widows Error 06:
0200: 0000084C How can I fix it and what is it?

Can you tell us if a program or hardware (IRQ numbers) is mentioned in
the error message?

Here is what I could find for you. Try the last link and let me know.

The error 06: basically means that the processor attempted to execute
an invalid instruction for some reason. It could be a program error, a
corrupted program from the disk drive or a hardware failure.

did you see that error everytime you start your computer?
is any blue screen at the background?
since when you get that error?

change the battery, don't laugh it works. A low battery will do all
kinds of strange things.
