I don't think 'niopelle' is a French word. Where did you encounter the word? |

I showed your question to a native French speaker who earned her Ph.D. in Paris. She didn't recognize "niopelle." G'luck, dtc |

I'm a french-speaking canadian. The word "niopelle" means nothing to me. Even the "great terminology dictionnary" on the web (http://www.olf.gouv.qc.ca/ressources/gdt_bdl2.html) doesn't know this word. The closest word that I can think of is the name of a famous canadian painter called "Jean-Paul Riopelle". You can found information about him in the following website: http://www.artcyclopedia.com/artists/riopelle_jean_paul.html Wezel |
