I need to know info on the ship "John elliot Thayer", or "Thayer",that
sank in the Sea of Cortez near isla tiburon.I need exact coordinates
of the wreck site and info as to specific cargo, and how much has been
salvaged. It is a mid 19th century American sailing ship which burned
and sank near Isla patos, which is near Isla Tiburon. The coordinates
i have so far are that it is located 320 degrees from the aids to
navigation light on Patos, 283 degrees from a rocky outcrop forming
its southwest cape, and 53 degrees from the left tangent of a small
island south of Punta Sargento, depth averages 45 ft. I dont know how
to translate all that into GPS coordinates but that is what i need if
possible. thx.
