Question ID: 497763
What percentage of software is developed for internal use only? Some
software is developed for sale - think Microsoft Office. Some software
is written for internal use by organsisations, never intended for
selling as a product. Question is, what the ratio? I need the number,
and the source of it.

The source of the number should not be the text of the book "magic
cauldron" by eric raymond, but something like a research paper or
something that could be cited.
