end up teaching in another state?

Some local patriot is going to want to shoot me, but when I was in
school in Alabama, the saying was that school officials said: Thank
G.. for Mississippi, where presumably the schools were even worse. 
But that was long ago, and I learned the three Rs  - even how to spell
them correctly.
