What are the most famous folk, fantasy or fairy tale characters from native children's literature in Indonesia, Nigeria, Egypt, Mexico and Turkey? i.e. Asking random people on the street in Nigeria, what Nigerian fictional characters would be mentioned again and again? I don't mean currently popular, like Harry Potter in the United States or the hero of the current children's best seller in Turkey. By famous, I mean characters that truly span generations, will be recognized by 60 year olds and 20 year olds alike. Characters with long lasting fame equivalent to fictional characters "The Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz", "Peter Pan", or "Superman" in the United States. |

You might want to consider reposting this as five separate questions. When you bundle a group of questions together, as you have here, it's a rather daunting prospect for Researchers. We must undertake five research projects, knowing that if we fail to find adequate information on any one of them, we will be unable to post an answer, and will receive no compensation. If each of these questions were posted separately, you would probably get faster, better results. |
