Question ID: 498188
I have a spreadsheet (Example: http://mlug.missouri.edu/~jay/lab_volume.xls)
that I use to track shipments in my lab. I've created a pivot table
that shows how many products have shipped broken down by product and
affiliate by counting how many rows in the ship date column have a
non-empty value. I'd like to make another pivot table that show how
many have NOT shipped. Basically, instead of using the COUNT
function, use the COUNTEMPTY function.

Ideally, I'd like to show how many have shipped vs. the total for each
product for each affiliate in the data area of the pivot table. I.e.
7/20 would tell me that 7 of the 20 total have shipped.

I'd like this solution to work with Excel 2000 and later.

Sorry, the name of the function I meant to reference is COUNTBLANK, not COUNTEMPTY.

Hi. I have an idea. You could use the COUNTBLANK function in the
worksheet itself to find the number of blank cells in each column, and
then build the PivotTable from that. If necessary, you can then hide
the column.

Hope this helps.
