If you have call waiting, an incoming call will disconnect your
session. This would be something you would have to set up with your
Phone provider.

However, check the settings under the Modem Dial Properties, if there
is a *70, then remove that and you should hopefully be disconnected
when someone rings or a fax comes through.

If all else fails, contact your ISP or Phone Provider.

hi!... you have 2 options...

1) if you have a v92 modem you can enable de callwaiting and then
answer the call while you still connected to the Internet, or...

2) by setting the correct register (atsXX=XX) in your modem (by
checking the manual) you can set the modem error check at maximum,
then when you receive a call it will made a beep on your line, the
modem will detect a "noise" that cannont handle and then...
disconnect.

I hope you find this information usefull and please excuse my english.
Emiliano.

You can but a multiplexer at wal-mart this will split your line into 3
lines. there for if you get a phone call your phone will ring, switch
to the other port and you can take a phone call and still be on the
internet and still send a fax. of course your baud rate on your modem
will decrease as you use the ports on the multiplex0r
