How do I lower my interest rate with Discover card, and are my rights being denied? I called and asked about my account and was told it was in good standing. I then asked how I can lower my interest rate. I was told to hold for an answer then told I was denied by the system. I then requested a statement explaining why I was denied, and instead got a Request for Lower Interest rate form. The form asks what my current income is, and what my desired interest rate would be. Thus my question as to why I was denied was not answered, and I feel if I put a rate I feel comfortable with (as low as possible) I will be denied again. How do I lower my rate then without being denied, and how do I receive a statement saying why I was denied? |

Tell them you're cancelling your card. I got a permanent drop to 10.49% by telling them I was going to switch to my Visa which has a promotional of 9.99%. Play hardball. skermit-ga |
