What are the population records of Austin, TX from 1900- 2001?

There's a nice overview of Austin's history -- including the rise and
fall and rise again of it's population -- going back to the 1800'a.

Does this suit your purposes?  Or are you looking for a complete
record for all years from 1900-2001?

Can't find the complete list online (though the Austin demographics
office may have it!), but I did find this, at least:

Hello there, alexscellardoor-ga! I'm going to give you a few more
census counts for Austin, Texas, in the range of years you asked. I
found the populations for the years pafalafa-ga stated, and will
include those as well. I apologize that I could not add too many to
your collection of years, but I tried searching many times. Here they
are:

1900 - 22,258

1910 - 29,860

1920 - 34,876

1930 - 53,120

1940 - 87,930

1950 - 132,459

1960 - 186,545

1970 - 251,808

1980 - 345,496

1990 - 472,020

1998 - 552,435

2000 - 656,562

As pafalafa-ga stated above, you should try Austin's Demographics
Office, if there really is such a thing. I couldn't find any more
years online, even at http://www.census.gov/. I'm sorry I couldn't be
of more assistance to you, and good luck to finding every year's
population count.
