National Education Centers Lost thier school licensure due to business improprieties some ten years ago either due to Federal or State of California or both, because of investigations into the misuse of guarantteed student loan programs, US Senator Diane Feinstein's husband Richard Blum was CEO at the time. I need verifiable facts to the nature of charges and the ultimate disolution of the National Education Centers Corporation. Was this corporate whitecollar corruption, and or crime? |

Here's an article that gives some information about the successors to National Education Centers. http://www.forbes.com/free_forbes/2002/1028/238.html One Tough Lesson Plan -- 10.28.02 A job as vice president of operations at National Education Centers, a unit of National Education Corp., seemed like a cakewalk. It wasn't. The president of NEC was an ex-McKinsey & Co. consultant who wasted millions on hiring other consultants, installing a pricey admissions training program and commissioning an ad agency with no education experience. The schools weren't making money, and 20 were in danger of losing access to federal financial aid, since one in three graduates wasn't paying back student loans, a stunning default rate. NEC fired the president and announced it was going to sell the division. |
