please tell me how transfer the contents of page 1 above to Word in
Microsoft XP on my computer?

on acrobat, select the text button on the toolbar.
select the text. 
copy and paste.

there is some programs do what you want. one of them is solidconvert
pdf. i found it useful. you can convert pdf files to word files whith
this program.

Well ... I couldn't get ANY of the methods to work!

Solidconvert looked the most promising but reported that the pdf
document had 'Self Signing Security' and it required a password before
it could proceed.

Has anyone else had any success, particularly the Questioner?

After opening the file, go to File-Document Security.
Hit Display Settings.
This shows you that the file does not allow copying.

There is a Word version of the pdf file I asked about,so I will use
that,thanks anyway.
