I want to rent a "small" space [60-70 square feet] in a well-regarded
mall in Dallas, Houston and/or Austin. I'm referring to one of those
small retail spaces that stand in the public area of some malls, not a
"storefront" as such. I need to know approx costs and/or contact
persons.

Here's one such option in Dallas:

Contact information is at the bottom of the page.

and another in the Dallas burbs:

I can construct a search that will readily identify similar options in
Dallas, Houston, Austin or another city of your choice. It will take
some culling on your part to identify the sites of most interest to
you. But with a well-crafted search, half your work will be done.
(Most of the sites don't include cost information, though...you'll
have to contact the malls for that information).

Should I post the search strategy as an answer to your question?

>>that's not the info I was looking for exactly...<<

Well, don't keep us in suspense. What...exactly...are you looking for?

>>This is the first time I've used this service so don't know how to reply.<<

You replied just fine, so whatever you did, just do it again...

>>can you email me?<<

No, sorry. All communications at Google Answers are right here, by
posting messages back and forth.

Bottom line, let us as best you can what you need, and we'll see what we can do.

What I was getting at more is: do I owe you something for the prelim
info you sent me. Actually, I'd like to get PRECISE contact info for
Dallas', Houston's and Austin's best malls. I import very fine,
$150-$400 Cocucha pottery from Mexico and am looking for a low-cost
way to get the pots in front of affluent buyers, without having a
"real" storefront. Ideally, I'd be able to get PRIME weekend space in
each of these cities. Actually, if you have some ideas other than mall
centers, I'd be open to your brainstorming. Costs for this service
from you?

lometogo3047-ga,

Thanks for getting back to me on this.

First off, you don't owe me anything, and you won't, unless a
researcher formally posts an answer for your in the "Answer" box
(rather than here in the "Clarifications" box).

If and when an answer is posted, then your account will be charged
automatically. You won't have to do anything (although you can rate,
comment on, or tip an answer, as you see fit).

As for getting an answer...!

You have a few things on the table at this point:

--identifying the premium malls in the cities you mentioned

--finding contact information at each of them

--finding weekend-only space at the malls

--looking for other means of selling your wares

A list like this goes beyond the scope of a $20 question. And even at
a higher price, it mixes up apples and oranges in a way that may make
researchers wary of trying to answer it.

(by the way, there are dozens of excellent researchers here, any one
of whom might ultimately answer your question...you're not stuck with
me!).

Long story short, try and pinpoint your highest priority for
information, and let us know how we can help you.

For instance, you might want to consider giving us a list of the five
malls you're most interested in, and let us find out the relevant
contact information for you.

Looking forward to your next post...
