when starting windows the network services are active before any antivirus and firewall softwares can protect the PC. I think, i have got some viruses in the mean time. do you know any solution different from plug in the network after completion of the full XP system and protecting software (Norton internet security). | |

you must configure your startUp list you can move firewall or antivirus to top of the list for loading early for configure your startup list you can install Microsoft Anti-Spywere or other softwere for download Microsoft Anti-Spywere (Free) go to the www.microsoft.com |

the Microsoft Anti-Spywere is an example you can change start up list from registry but for comfortable you may use software for example RegClean or other softwere which edit registry |

It is true that the Windows firewall starts late with Windows XP SP1 or earlier, but if you install Service Pack 2 you should find that Windows' own firewall will be activated easlier and should provide you with the protection you seek. |

dont use the default windows firewall use something else like zone alarm or sygate or kerio |
