Exit Art, a 22 year old experimental cultural center in New York City, is
exploring spiritual necessity with its most current performance series
titled prayingproject.

Prayer is an action with purpose, an intimate expression that is
beneficial and constructive. Praying is perhaps the most intimate and
profound freedom of expression and faith is one of the most
relevant issue of the 21st century.

For these reasons, Exit Art selected twenty-one artists to perform
pieces in which they discover unique ways of praying - private,
public, intense, sublime, vulnerable and
powerful. Some performances will last only 30 minutes while others
last for 6 hours. Performances will be presented simultaneously on 8
stages in the 10th Avenue and 36th Street windows of Exit Art, making
a powerful visual statement

Does anyone know of an individual or foundation who might be
interested in funding a project that explores how spirituality and art
can come together?
Does anyone know how we could raise $10,000 for this project?
