In the first half of the 1993 film "Map of the Human Heart," Avik and Albertine are residents in a tuberculosis hospital. Where was this filmed? I have heard this location is not to far from Montreal. What is the name of the hospital that served as the location? Where is it? |

Dear Gnossie, I have been working on your question over the past few days and did not have any luck in finding the filming location for the scenes where Avik and Albertine are residents in a tuberculosis hospital. During my search I stumbled upon the resume of Map of the Human Heart?s Assistant Costume Designer, Mr. Mario Davignon. His contact information was provided in the resume so I sent off an email asking him about the filming location of the scenes you mentioned. Today Mr. Davignon kindly replied to my email today with the following information. He said that the set they used for those scenes was the old Secondary School of Oka; a small city located about 50 km. northwest of Montreal. He is sorry to say that he doesn?t remember the exact name of that school. You can download Mario Davignon?s resume from here should you want to contact him. http://www.stcvq.qc.ca/cv/pdf/mr1192a.pdf I hope you find this information helpful! Best regards, Bobbie7 |

Well, that's a pretty clever way of having found the answer. Although you weren't able to come up with the name of the school, that's enough information for me to find it when I'm actually up in that area, so you're welcome to the $30! Thanks. |
