This is the last line in a short story by Elmore Leonard, called "Tenkiller." It is the last short story in Mr. Leonard's book "When the Women Come Out to Dance." |

Hi Jeff; No, I'm not a researcher, but I was pretty sure that I knew the answer as soon as I saw your question posted. Someone had a lock on it, however. I read all of Elmore Leonard's books, and I especially enjoyed this collection of short stories. I just remembered that last line, but didn't know exactly which short story it came from.
