I recently purchased an expensive car off ebay in florida, and I'm
importing it into Canada, but I cannot do that without a title. The
car was shipped to the border where it now sits until the title
arrives. the place I purchased it from have alot of bad history and
have claimed to of sent the title with a fedex tracking number etc,
but never actually sent it (I checked) now they have there money they
dont really want to do anything else, besides the car turned out to be
a piece of crap. But the car has alot of money tied up in it and I
cannot get the title. I cannot apply for a duplicate title in florida
only the seller can do that. I cannot say they have gone out of
business and get a new title issued because they do exist they just
dont have any motivation to help me. I could get on a plane and fly
down there but its unlikely that I will be successfull since they will
make up excuses that it has been lost. I've tried threatening them
with the Lawyers but that takes too long. I need the title fast, the
car is sat at the side of the road. Is there any way I can get a
duplicate made from someone, or any idea's on how I can get it. Assume
these guys dont want to help me, and I canot even contact them since
they no longer have a phone or fax number
