Question ID: 499890
I'm looking for a song/singer name for a song I saw a video for back
in the early 1990's. It had to be between 1991-1993 because I was
defintly in high school at the time.

For some reason, I thought the song was called "why". But of all the
songs with that name I'm searched on itunes...none of them sound like
it. I have no clue what the song is about..but I remember the video
well.

It basiclly focuses on a man who's on a bed and appears to be in a
coma or just not conscience. There is a women next to him who is his
love interest. She's basiclly singing how she misses him and how she
wants him back. Had a normal kind of song to it.....but then half way
through the music changes and it looks like an angel/devil is coming
to get the man or take him away and the song becomes a dualing duet
between the women.....was a very powerful type of video. But I just
can't remember who sang it or what the name is. Help!

Could it be a song called, "Stay"? by a group called Shakespeare's
Sister - here are the lyrics - it sounds like what I can remember of
the video

If this world is wearing thin
And you're thinking of escape
I'll go anywhere with you
Just wrap me up in chains
But if you try to go alone
Don't think I'll understand

I'll do anything it takes

Chorus
Stay with me, stay with me

In the silence of your room
In the darkness of your dreams
You must only think of me
There can be no in between
When your pride is on the floor
I'll make you beg for more
In the darkness of your schemes
There among the souvenirs
And the useless memories

Chorus

You'd better hope and pray
That you make it safe
Back to your own world
You'd better hope and pray
That you wake one day
In your own world
'Cause when you sleep at night
They don't hear your cries
In your own world
Only time will tell
If you can break the spell
Back in your own world

That you'll be safe
In your own world

That you're gonna awake
Back in your own world
Chorus

stay...
