This article: http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-02-2001/jw-0216-cooltools.html discusses an open-source, design-by-contract Java tool called iContract. This tool is also referenced in the excellent book, The Pragmatic Programmer. The company that hosted this tool has apparently gone out of business: http://www.reliable-systems.com I want the source for this iContract tool so I can revive the project. Be aware that this sourceforge project: http://sourceforge.net/projects/icplus/ does not include the source to the main icontract application. thanks! |

http://www.cenqua.com/clover/eg/ant/report/org/apache/tools/ant/taskdefs/optional/IContract.html Could probably be it, I guess. This is a free comment. |

I still need to find the icontract source or even the jar (e.g. incontract.jar?). But thank you for the attempt. |

You can find an archived version of the site here: http://web.archive.org/web/20031204212425/www.reliable-systems.com/tools/iContract/iContract.htm The jar you want should be one of these: http://web.archive.org/web/20030923073809/www.reliable-systems.com/tools/_download-area/icontract/iContract-jdk1_2.jar http://web.archive.org/web/20030923074650/www.reliable-systems.com/tools/_download-area/icontract/iContract-jdk1_1_7.jar However, since the site appears gone perhaps this could be a viable alternative? http://jcontractor.sourceforge.net/ Regards, Stefan |

PS. I could not find any link whatsoever to any sources on the archived website, assuming the license allows it you'll have to decompile it yourself. One such tool i know of is jad, which you can download here: http://kpdus.tripod.com/jad.html |
