It may be cheaper to go with a video card with a TV-OUT and plug that into an NTSC unit. At 5 inches, you are not going to miss the resolution one bit unless you use a magnifying glass to watch it. |

With a 5" screen, you won't be able to see a thing. You could simulate this effect by using a full sized screen and closing both eyes. Was there something in particular that you didn't want to see? |

it's for a car project, hence the need for a small screen. and it really would be a thousand times easier for me if I could get a simpe VGA screen rather then a tv out card and PAL screen |

Lilliput and Xenarc make LCD screens for cars with VGA inputs. I didn't look around too much, but in my cursory examination I found this one to be the best: http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=44 A nice 7" VGA LCD panel with very high supported resolutions and a good assortment of cables. 7" LCD panels are about the same height as 5.6" panels but a little wider. It is $260, and although the company is US-based, it will ship to the UK for about $40. I think credit card carriers can handle the exchange rates. If you search around for Lilliput and Xenarc VGA LCDs, you should be able to find something UK based or at least a better price. Hope this helps! |

I went to Maplin's on Friday and they had some 5" tv screens on display for < £20. I didn't enquire any further, assuming that you had probably already exhausted this possibility. |
