epiguy,

I haven't seen specific historical data for Washington DC, but there
are stats on malaria eradication for the country as a whole.

In general, the number of cases declined very rapidly from 1920
through the 1940's, and malaria was essentially eradicated in 1949.
Cases were at their peak in 1920 -- prior to that time, I'm not sure
reliable statistics are available.

Does that help at all?

There were 6 known cases and 3 cases with symptoms which later didnot
result in Malaria.

Thanks anyway pafalafa but I wanted data for DC. I already have quite
a bit of data about the US at large.

prakash123,
This answer doesn't make sense. Malaria was essentially gone from DC
after WWII. It was rampant during the early days of the city. But I
wanted to know if anyone had hard data about case counts during these
early days.
