I run an online store and we are trying to make sure that when our multipart HTML and text formatted emails are sent out that they are viewed correctly. I have noticed a trend that when any of our customers are using MS Outlook it will reformat the HTML code and in some instances completely change it. Has anybody else run across this problem? How do I fix it? Here are a few examples.... [original]
[Outlook's formatting]
--------------- [original] http://estore.[address removed] [Outlook's formatting] <A=20 href=3D'ttp://estore.[address removed]"'>http://estor= e.[address removed] --------------- Obviously, this is a problem as when the user goes to follow the link they get a page not found because it's trying to find "ttp://estore...etc." I get HTML formatted emails all the time from companies and I'm sure other Outlook users do as well. Why am I having this problem? Is there something I am overlooking here? I can provide more examples and such via email, but would rather not post the site location here. |
