Could anybody please tell me when the movie Downfall (nominated best
Foreign Language Film) is released in England.
In addition, could you give me details about it's distrubtion. For
instance, is it being picked up by UCI/Showcase Cinemas? If not being
released in mainstream threatres please provide information concerning
the nearest threatres to Dudley/Wolverhampton, including approximate
costs as well as dates.

Thank you very much to anybody who answers this question, I've been
searching for nearly 10 minutes (a long time for a student) and I
can't find the details so it is very much appreciated. ^_^

I'm afraid "Downfall" is only going on limited release, and you'll
have to go to Birmingham to see it. It's probably near-impossible to
get a ticket for the 30 March preview at the Electric Cinema, and the
first public showing isn't until 15 April. (£4 per ticket for
concessions. Times not yet announced.)

You'd have to go to London to see it on 1 April, its official release date.

A few UGC cinemas are showing it, and it may be worth contacting UGC
for further information and/or watching their website for updates.

You could also contact the distributors, Momentum Pictures.
(Their website didn't work well for me, but you may have more luck.)

I'll put everything useful I could find below.

I doubt if this will help, but some cinemas are giving a release date of 15 April.
None of them seem to be near you, though, unfortunately.

The answer was exactly what I needed, a summary of what the researcher
found as well as links to provide furthered evidence and information
regarding my question.

IMDB has the release date as being April 1, 2005 for the U.K.  Note
that you'll want to conduct searches under the original name,
"Untergang" or "Der Untergang":
