I am interested in creating an alarm clock which, if a snooze button
is pressed more than a certain number of times, a golf ball would be
launched, and the clock would continue beeping until the ball is
replaced. I am not very experienced with embedded control, and I
would like to know what type of microprocessor would be appropriate to
use. It would need to control at least 4 seven segment LED's, a
speaker, a motor of some kind, and have several inputs from different
buttons. I browsed through the microchip.com's webpage, but I don't
know how many pins I will need to control everything. I won't need a
lot of memory, especially since I will probably program the alarm time
in to the processor when I write the code for it. Any suggestions
about how I should create this would be welcome, but I am mostly
interested in what type of processor I should get. Thank you.
