For $2, you might like to tell us ... AMENDMENT XVI Passed by Congress July 2, 1909. Ratified February 3, 1913. Note: Article I, section 9, of the Constitution was modified by amendment 16. It just won't happen. The intriguing thing, is that the US federal govt existed until 1913 without income tax, as I understand it, just having custom duties as the source of federal financing. Those were the days ....!! |
