Hi,

I'm looking to purchase a copy of:

  Vital Points of Go
  Takagawa

It was published around 1958, and is now apparantly out of print.

I'd like to know somewhere that I can purchase a copy.

You can purchase a copy of The Vital Point of Go, by Kaku Takagawa
(6th edition, 1962) from alibris ( http://www.alibris.com ) . From the
home page you can search on that title or go directly to the page URL:

http://www.alibris.com/search/detail.cfm?chunk=25&qauth=takagawa&S=R&bid=8061644910&pqtynew=&page=1&matches=4&qsort=r

The cost is $24.95 .

I have used alibris many times to find out-of-print books and have
always been happy with their service.

Search Strategy: I'm loath to recommend a vendor I wasn't familiar
with, and the only ones I've used for used book purchases are alibris
and amazon; amazon doesn't have the book. I also checked ebay though
but didn't find it there.

Thank you!

As for your search strategy, I agree. I had checked both Amazon and
eBay (for the last couple weeks, too), but I didn't know about
Alibris.

Very swift reply.
