Dear sir

I am seeking a porous material either hard, like clay/plaster of
paris etc. or soft sheet sheet like material of at least 5 mm
thickness with better wicking action and absorbency for cooling system
where I am going to place hydrated super absorbent polymer(SAP) gel
in one side of the porous/wicking material and let the other side
exposed to air for evaporation. I am expecting the water
(encapsulated in the SAP gel) from one side of the material to
evaporate from other side exposed to air after passing through the
wicking material as fast as possible. I am trying surgical cotton
pads, clay, etc. can you suggest a better material. I was suggested
to try thermal/spun bonded fabric material(viscous),Needlepunched PP (
Polypropylene) fabric, etc. seeking your opinion and ideas!!!
Thank you with regards

Hi,

How about cheesecloth?

You could spread a layer of gel on a section of it - fold - then
another layer of gel - fold - and so on...

MiniM
