Hello Joemassey,

The title of Easter Choral Music you have in mind is ?Alleluia! Christ
Is Risen? by Andre Kopolyoff, arranged by Harvey B. Gaul and published
by the Oliver Ditson Co. in 1952. The Oliver Ditson Company is
wholly-owned by Theodore Presser.

Here is the text:

"Ice has gone from all the rivers,
Cypress trees begin to bloom;
Now the wood-dove coos his spring song,
Gone the days of dark and gloom."

Excerpts from a posting by Joseph Herl, of the University of Illinois
School of Music at Google Groups:

?There is an English version called "Alleluia! Christ is risen" by
Andre Kopolyoff, arranged by Harvey Gaul. It begins "Ice has gone
from all the rivers, Cypress trees begin to bloom; Now the wood-dove
coos his spring song, Gone the days of dark and gloom." Oliver Ditson
Co. published it in 1952, and I have it in The A Cappella Chorus Book,
edited by F. Melius Christiansen and Noble Cain.?

Urbana, Illinois 61801 USA

?The ALLELUIA is also still available as a single octavo, US$1.15 per
copy. Oliver Ditson Company is wholly-owned by Theodore Presser, and
this piece can be ordered through any music shop anywhere.?

What a wonderful service. I had all but given up hope for finding an
answer. The research and answer was much more than expected and worth
every penny it cost.
