I have an excellent idea for a restaurant. However, I do not have the
money necessary to begin the venture. Hence the following questions:

1. What do I need to get together in order to present my idea
effectively? (ie, verbal description, slideshow presentation, etc)

2. What company (if any) should I contact to sell the idea to? (ie,
venture capitalists, investment firms, etc). I need a large financial
power to be able to see my idea and believe in its promise.

I basically need to know how to turn the idea into my head into
reality, and I have very little money to spend. I have time,
computers and printers to help get the vision across but that's about
it.

congratulations on your entrepreneurial spirit. I hope your plan goes
well, however i'll warn you that venture capitalist avoid investing in
food businesses, because statistically speaking, they are nearly the
least likely to become a fortune 500 company. From that standpoint,
professional VC's will avoid restaurants because they'll never see
millions of dollars within 5-7 years.

However, if you are to succeede, it will probably be with someone not
investing to make windfall profits, but because they too have a
passion for the industry. To meet an Angel investor, you'll need to
actually start meeting with VC's and Angel investor's in your area for
advice. Build a social network around people with money in your area
of interest, and keep talking about your idea, and asking for
suggestions. This is how most connections are made on the level that
you're looking for.

Again, good luck
