I have a Blair Camera (Contained Field Version, I think) dated with patient dates of 3/29/1887 and 5/20/1890. The plates contained within are dated with a patient of 5/15/1883. The cloest I can find in picture form are the Special Folding Hawk-Eye c. 1896 and The 400 c. 1895. Both look to be much newer than the one I have. Looking for a record of my version with the prospect of trying to sell it. Other info contained on the camera is a lense # of 7433. No model name or number found on the camera. It is contained in a leather covered wooden box. Front opens via spring loaded door which drops down and the camera can then be rolled out onto the drop front. Plates are contained in the back with access thru a spring loaded pop up lid. Contains three plates. Wood of the plates seems to be walnut and the wood framing the camera itself is painted black. Any into would be helpfull. Thank you. Please use subject "Blair Camera," that way I won't delete as spam. I get too much of that. |
